I Anne Riis Bovbjergs kunstneriske praksis tager hun afsæt i den konkrete og abstrakte billedkunsttradition med fokus på former og farver. Med det afsæt skaber hun værker, hvor hun dog fastholder et element af den ydre virkelighed i værkerne. Anne Riis Bovbjerg forholder sig malerisk til sine værker, men hun maler dem ikke. I stedet for at dyppe penslen i farve, klipper hun små stykker af papir, som hun skaber sine værker med. Uddannet på Det Fynske Kunstakademi og Gerrit Rietveld Akademi i 2001. Bor og arbejder på Mors.

Anne Riis Bovbjerg’s artistic practice is based on the concrete and abstract visual art tradition with a focus on shapes and colors. With that starting point, she creates works where she maintains an element of external reality in the works. Anne Riis Bovbjerg takes a painterly approach to her works, but she does not paint them. Instead of dipping the brush in color, she cuts small pieces of paper with which she creates her works. Educated at the Funen Art Academy and the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2001. Lives and works at the island Mors.
